Athletic Announcement: 6 Man Football Practice begins tonight at 5:00 pm at the Warwick softball field. You will need to have your SPORTS PHYSICAL to begin practice. You will need your own ride to and from practice. Water will be provided, but please bring your water bottles. This should be an exciting first evening of practice. Go Warriors

Greetings Warriors and Lady Warriors from Coach Retzlaff. Are you looking to try something new? To be a part of a team? To have a fun time? To push yourself to new heights? To reach new goals? Do you like to run? You like to run but you are not sure if you would like to run competitively or like to run, but you are a little scared to try something new, or you just really do not know anything about cross country. Well, let me tell you that cross country IS something that everyone can enjoy at all different levels. You can compete competitively, or you can compete against just yourself, it really is competing against yourself in the end anyways and if you happen to beat a lot of people well that is even better!!! But if you continually beat yourself, well that is just as awesome!! If you really do not know what I am talking about, come join the team and see what it is all about. Come with positive thoughts and thoughts that cross country is about running, all diverse kinds of running, but mostly long-distance running. What will you get out of cross country you might ask? Camaraderie (friendships), discipline, mental toughness, exercise, relaxation, peace, muscular strength and endurance and toning. Running, and exercise in general helps reduce stress and anxiety, helps you sleep better, helps you learn better, and all of these have to do with the endorphins your body releases when you run, making you feel better! If you are interested, give me a call at 701-840-6307. Students from grades 5-12 can join cross country. 5-8 are considered middle school or junior high and 9-12 are considered high school or varsity. Junior high races are 1.8 miles and varsity are 3.2 miles. VARSITY practice will start on August 14th, a time will be announced soon, and junior high will start when school starts. Thank you to everyone that voted in the Warwick Public School District Board election yesterday. There were a total of 88 votes cast. The unofficial results are: Jean Wallace was re-elected with 35 votes, and Kelly Gannon was re-elected with 28 votes.
